MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — Police and K-9 Units searched the Michigan City High School campus Sunday night after receiving reports that there may be a gun on campus.
Officials received information saying that there was possibly a gun located in a student’s gym locker.
Officers worked throughout the night searching lockers, classrooms, and the exterior of the school but found no weapons according to Principal Candy Van Buskirk.
Several students were questioned by police during the investigation.
Extra officers will be at the school on Monday for added security and will be searching each student’s bags as they enter the building.
The investigation is still ongoing.
