MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — A man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound early Sunday morning according to Michigan City Police.
Officers responded to the Canterbury apartment complex located at 1200 Mallard Drive just before 6 a.m. after received 911 calls reporting a man being shot.
Upon arrival, officers found 39-year-old Darnell Crawford lying on the sidewalk on the 200 block of Herring Gull Lane.
Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
Detectives are currently interviewing multiple witnesses and the investigation is still in its early stages according to Sgt. Chris Yagelski of the Michigan City Police.
