Video surveillance footage shows a woman police are searching for as a person of interest in connection to a theft at a local Speedway gas station Wednesday morning.

Michigan City Police are searching for a woman who they say is a person of interest in connection to a theft at a local Speedway gas station.

Details of the incident were not immediately released when officers posted on their Facebook page asking for help from the community in identifying the woman who was shown in screenshots from the store’s video surveillance footage.

Surveillance video from the store shows a woman with golden blonde hair wearing a dark colored coat with a fur-lined hood and large hoop earrings.

Footage from an exterior camera shows the woman leaving the store in a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a sedan.

According to the time stamp on the video, the incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. early Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the woman in the photos is asked to contact Lt. Steve Westphal at (219) 874-3221 extension 1071.

Callers may also leave information and remain anonymous.
