Michigan City Journal Ready to Launch Weekly Print to Offer FREE News

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — Michigan City Journal, our locally owned and operated online news outlet is ready to move to the stage in offering 100% free unrestricted news to residents in Michigan City, the Town of Pines, Trail Creek, Long Beach, and Beverly Shores by kicking off a weekly print newspaper.

Our newspaper which will be available at hundreds of locations throughout the area will be offered free of charge to all readers will include hyper-local news, events, classifieds, restaurant reviews, local government news, crime news, obituaries, and more.

We have been working on making this a possibility for a couple of months now and are ready to move to the next step.

After talking to many residents, business owners, and some government officials, we feel that we can offer a great service to our community while helping support the community.

To move to the next step, we are looking to acquire a small office space in order to provide our staff with a comfortable work environment. We are also looking to hire up to five staff members consisting of full-time and part-time writers, photographers, and sales representatives and hope to hire more residents in the near future.

Michigan City Journal is asking for the support of residents and business owners in the area to get our first issue on shelves throughout the area by contributing to our Kickstarter campaign.

Business owners who contribute to our campaign will be given the option of advertising in our print publication in exchange for their sponsorship.

Businesses interested in advertising or in becoming a drop-off point for our printed paper can contact us.

Anyone interested in donating to our Kickstarter campaign can donate below or go to by visiting our campaign HERE.
