MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — Michigan City’s annual “Zoo-B-Que” is coming soon and this is why you should be excited.
The main focus of this spectacular event is not only to connect other animal lovers, through an educational and delicious purpose, but also contributing funding towards various areas of The Washington Zoo. This year’s goal being centered on extending the Bengal Tiger’s livable area size and doubling the lion’s habitat as well.
The Washington Park Zoo, located at 115 Lakeshore Drive in Michigan City, offers so much to our community and this is a great way to help make it better for everyone!
This delightful event will have catering including, a silent auction, cash bar and many interactive events. One of the biggest highlights of this event will be the various animal species that will be brought out to let families and fellow animal lovers get a closer look. These include a baby alligator, armadillo and other surprise animal visitors, courtesy of Silly Safaris from Indianapolis. The event not only helps educate our neighborhood and surrounding Michiana area, but gives visitors a unique way to do it.
This fun-filled event highlights not only what makes this fantastic area so great, but proves that our diverse community welcomes everyone to learn and to love animals like never before. This annual event welcomes you to not only have a delicious meal, but offers its visitors the chance to see the many different species that are viewable at the Washington Park Zoo, as well.
