The Michigan City Wolves knew they faced a tough challenge when defending IHSAA 2A State Champion Andrean hit the court in the Wolves’ Den Tuesday Night.
It looked like the home team was in for an easy victory until the 59ers staged a strong fourth quarter rally.
The Wolves’ offense put up three consecutive quarters of 15 points each while their defense held Andrean to three straight quarters of 7 points each.
After 3 periods, the Wolves held a dominating 45-21 lead.
A furious fourth quarter rally saw the 59ers outscore the Wolves, 35-19, to make the game close in the end but the comeback fell short as City finished strong down the final stretch and claimed the 64-56 win.
